Managing Multiple Properties
Using Ginkgo across more than one home, property, or building.
Ginkgo supports multiple properties within a single inventory. This is useful for people who manage holiday homes, rental properties, or split their time between two addresses.
How to add a property
Properties are top-level locations — locations that aren’t nested inside anything else. To add a property:
- Go to Locations
- Tap + Add location
- Enter the property name or address
- Leave the parent location field blank
- Tap Save
You can now add rooms and storage areas inside this property, exactly as you would for your main home.
Switching between properties
On the home screen and in the Locations tab, all properties and their contents are visible together. You can filter by property using the Location filter in search.
Sharing properties with different people
If you want to share one property with one set of people and another with a different set, this isn’t currently possible within a single account — household sharing applies to the whole inventory. Per-property sharing is on our roadmap.
Property inventories for letting
If you’re using Ginkgo to manage inventory for a rental property, see our guide for landlords and letting agents for tips on how to structure your inventory and use it for check-in and check-out documentation.
