Exporting Your Inventory
How to download a copy of your Ginkgo inventory data.
You can export your inventory data at any time. This is useful for insurance purposes, keeping an offline backup, or moving to another system.
How to export
- Go to Settings > Data
- Tap Export inventory
- Choose a format (CSV or PDF)
- Tap Download
The export includes: item names, descriptions, locations, tags, notes, and dates added/updated. Photos are not included in CSV exports; the PDF option includes thumbnail photos.
CSV export
The CSV format is suitable for importing into a spreadsheet application like Excel or Google Sheets. Each row is one item, with columns for all item fields.
PDF export
The PDF export creates a formatted document suitable for printing or sharing — useful for insurance documentation or handing over to a letting agent. It’s organised by location and includes thumbnail photos.
Your data belongs to you
Ginkgo does not restrict data portability. You can export your data at any time, for any reason, and without limit. If you close your account, you can export everything before you go.
