Privacy Settings
What you can control from Ginkgo's Privacy & security screen.
Ginkgo keeps its privacy controls in one place: Profile → Privacy & security.
OpenAI data sharing
Ginkgo’s AI features (camera analysis, voice assistant, smart text commands, project planner, and project covers) only send data to OpenAI after you allow each specific feature. The Privacy & security screen lists every permission you have granted, and you can withdraw any of them at any time with the Withdraw button. A withdrawn feature stops using OpenAI immediately and will ask again before its next use.
See AI Features and Your Privacy for exactly what each feature sends.
Account security
Your sign-in session is stored in your device’s secure storage. You can reset your password from the sign-in screen at any time — Ginkgo emails you a one-time link that opens the app to set a new password.
Reset Ginkgo on this device
Removes your data from the device you’re holding without affecting your account or other devices. Useful if you’re handing a device on.
Delete your account
Permanently deletes your account and inventory data. See Requesting data deletion for what happens and how long it takes.
Analytics and crash reporting
Ginkgo uses PostHog for product analytics (with session replay configured to mask all text inputs and images) and Sentry for crash reporting, associated with your account so we can investigate problems you report. This data is never used for advertising or shared for cross-app tracking. If you’d like to object to analytics processing, contact us at privacy@getginkgo.uk, and see the Privacy Policy for your rights.
Data rights
Beyond these settings, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. See What data does Ginkgo store? and Requesting data deletion for more.
